The Sheriff's Department in my town (Knoxville, TN) employed '57 Ford 2 door coupes. They were painted black with "KNOX COUNTY SHERIFF PATROL" in white on the doors. They were even equipped with the iconic red gumball becon lights.

Of course I dunno why they ordered them as 2 doors, Usually police cars are 4 door sedans. Also why do I feel like most police cars in the 1950s were Fords?
